About Me

Hello! My name is Tony Nguyen and I am an alcoholic…

I’m just kidding! =) Yea, that was corny, but anyway… I am 19 years old born to Vietnamese parents who came here looking to start a new life after the communist invasion of Vietnam. I have lived in Houston, Texas my whole life and am currently attending the University of Houston hoping to get my Bachelors of Business Association within a couple years.

I used to play tennis back in high school, but after popping my arm out of its socket, I only pick up my racquet occasionally now. On the weekends, I spend most of my time either helping out at my church, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or teaching Vovinam at Vien Thong Buddhist Temple. Weird eh? Click here to find out more about my Vovinam life. Otherwise, continue below!

I love learning new things and listening to people’s crazy ideas about life or anything for that matter. Though I am a devout Catholic, I enjoy learning about other religions and seeing how others’ rituals are performed. I guess the word “devout” wouldn’t really work now huh? =)

Cars are not my thing. I love to mod my Scion tC, but anything other than the basics would confuse me. To me, meets are only fun if I win something! Haha!

TV isn’t really a thing for me. I haven’t touched the remote control in… a couple years! Well, maybe once a couple months I would turn it on for Conan O’Brien, but other than that, there’s not much that interests me. However, recently I’ve been getting into watching TV series…rented on DVD and not downloaded of course! =P heheh. “Heroes” was awesome. “One Tree Hill” was pretty interesting. I don’t really like “The OC” though. The story line is not too intriguing and after a couple seasons, it became really boring. I tried to watch at least one season of “Gossip Girls” but I just can’t stand the narrator!  I just recently finished the entire “The Office” seasons and don’t know which one I’m looking forward to more, the next season of “Heroes” or “The Office”.  Either way, “The Mole” will keep my occupied until the Fall when they come back!

Finally, I am single and love long walks on the beach and candlelight dinners… so… *wink wink*
